A few weeks ago, on 26 April, Uranus moved from Taurus into Gemini – and with that, a phase begins whose effects will reach far beyond the coming summer. For seven years, until May 2033, it will now travel through the sign concerned with thinking, language, communication and the exchange of knowledge. Some sign changes reveal themselves only gradually; this one is already being felt very directly in many areas of life.
Uranus in Gemini – seven years of movement in the mind
If Saturn and Neptune have been together in Aries since February, posing the question of the “what for” – vision, direction, responsibility – then Uranus in Gemini answers the “how”: how we think, speak, absorb knowledge and pass it on. The pace increases, information flows shift, and artificial intelligence and new forms of knowledge transfer become an even clearer part of everyday life. What was still considered an experiment two or three years ago becomes taken for granted.
Yet Uranus does not only work outwardly. It also touches our inner language patterns. Which explanations have we been repeating for years? Which beliefs no longer fit the person we are today? Many of my clients can already sense that something no longer holds internally. Saturn and Neptune support this process: Saturn provides a sustainable form, Neptune opens our view to vision. In this way, new thoughts become more than a fleeting impulse.
What began from 1941 to 1949
Looking back helps us place what is coming. The last time Uranus was in Gemini was between August 1941 and June 1949. Those years saw developments whose long-term consequences we are renegotiating today: the first fully electronic computer, the transistor as the prerequisite for later microelectronics, mathematical information theory, and the beginnings of what would later be called cybernetics and ultimately artificial intelligence. What emerged then as a technical possibility is infrastructure today – and that is precisely the recurring theme. Uranus in Gemini does not produce tools of thinking and understanding for the first time; it simply makes them visible again, each time in a new way.
Two sides of agility
Uranus in Gemini can bring not only new ideas and inspiration. It can also flood us with thoughts, insights and information. Some things appear suddenly, without our having searched for them. That can be invigorating, but it can also create inner restlessness – the feeling of constantly having to react, take something in, or do something.
For that very reason, grounding, conscious pauses and clear rituals become important during this time. Not every piece of information nourishes us. Not every message deserves our attention. It becomes more crucial to distinguish between what we truly want to take in and what merely scatters us. Conversations, too, take on a new significance: superficial exchange can quickly become draining, while encounters that genuinely open us up, move us and bring clarity within us gain in value.
Summer 2026 – the Talent Triangle becomes active
In the summer months, a rare alignment reaches its strongest effect: Pluto in Aquarius, Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Aries together form a harmonious triangle, which in astrology we refer to as a “Talent Triangle”. This configuration shapes the years 2025 to 2028 and unfolds its densest impact in summer 2026 and again in summer 2027.
Pluto provides depth and the willingness to transform what no longer supports us. Uranus brings the agility needed for the new. Neptune opens our sense for something larger – for intuition and connectedness. What usually operates separately – depth, agility and intuition – can interlock in this phase. Those who use these forces consciously, respectfully and with heart can set developments in motion that will resonate for a long time.
Jupiter in Leo – the warming counterbalance
On 30 June, Jupiter also moves into Leo, where it will remain until July 2027. A warmer tone is added. After all the reviewing, sorting and accelerating, Jupiter makes room once more for the joy of creating: Which ability wants more space? Which project carries aliveness? Which gesture, which stage, which form of expression is called for now? This warmth is the human counterbalance to the speed of Uranus in Gemini. It reminds us that the fastest information is not automatically the most important – and that sometimes it is about warmth, not pace.
